Archaeosurvey is a research program aiming to develop new instruments for the identification, quantification and interpretation of archaeological items found in extended soil surfaces. Our current approach is based on the development of machine and deep learning based algorithms for the automated identification and classification of potsherds and other types of material culture in subcentimetric drone-acquired imagery.
